  • ​The 6/4D-AH stuffing box works together with packing, lantern rings, shaft sleeves, and gland assemblies to form a complete packing seal system. By maintaining proper packing compression and controlled leakage, it ensures effective sealing while allowing necessary lubrication and cooling of the shaft.

    Manufactured from high-strength cast materials, the stuffing box features excellent structural integrity and wear resistance. Precision-machined internal surfaces ensure accurate alignment with the shaft sleeve, reducing eccentric wear and improving overall sealing performance, even in high-solids and high-wear slurry applications.

    Installation & Maintenance Notes

    • Proper Packing Installation: Packing should be installed evenly in layers, avoiding over-tightening or looseness to prevent leakage or shaft wear.

    • Adjust Packing Pressure: Apply sufficient pressure to create an effective seal without excessive friction. Periodic adjustment is recommended.

    • Lubrication and Cooling: Ensure adequate lubrication or flushing water to reduce friction and prevent overheating.

    • Even Bolt Tightening: Tighten gland bolts evenly in a crisscross pattern using appropriate torque.

    • Check Shaft Alignment: Proper shaft alignment is essential to minimize wear and extend component life.
